Winter Contest update
December 20, 2008 by T Love.
No 4″ snowfall has occured at Midway yet. The closest so far is 3.4″ on the 16th. All 3 segments of the Winter Weather contest are still up for grabs.

Winter Contest update
December 19, 2008 by T Love.
I thought Gilbert would have won the 4″ portion of the contest on Dec 16th, but only 3.4″ fell at MDW. Today, I thought Mr. Keenan Smith would have won. But with only 2.4″ down at MDW as of 6a and what little back edge of precip moving through North Central IL now, I don’t see us reaching the 4″ mark at MDW. Though Mr. Smith has moved away from the Chicago area to a much warmer climate, Keenan still has to deal with the salt spray! haha.
I do see us having to wait unitl Jan 28 to see our first 4″ or great calendar day snowfall. This just happens to be the date I predicted. Go figure.

Chicago Winter weather strikes but no winner so far.
December 2, 2008 by T Love.
Official word in from Frank this morning. Only 2.3″ of the white stuff fell at Chicago’s Midway Airport on Dec 1st. Other areas recieved 3-4 inches with a few spots topping the 4″ mark.
The 4″ part of the contest is still going!
