Radiator fluid changed & Salsa class
April 30, 2010 by T Love.
Truck Maintenance
Thursday afternoon, I spent about 4.5 hours changing my radiator fluid. That includes 30 minutes in which I had to run back to the auto parts store. Nothing hard about it, but it was just time consuming and methodical. I also took apart more than necessary to make my life easier.
All my hoses, engine, & radiator were flushed. While at it, I thoroughly cleaned out the throttle body and popped in a new thermostat.
Salsa Class
It was my first time at Salsa Class in 10 days. I got my butt kicked a little! lol. I need to work on continuously holding firm the ladies hand and my turns. Grrrr. I was getting frustrated towards the end. Being 12-16″ taller than the woman your dancing with doesn’t exactly make the situation easier. So, I have a few things to work on to make this all gel. I did venture out to the Cafe afterwards for free bachata and salsa lessons. I met some new people & had alot of fun - as usual.

Oil change reveals problems
April 25, 2010 by T Love.
So while changing my oil, I noticed a few leaks. The bottom radiator hose was leaking along with the 2nd oil pan gasket. This means both of my oil pan gaskets are now seeping. A new clamp solved the radiator hose problem. I intalled a new air filter as well. I also discovered brown radiator fluid in my reserve tank along with alot of brown goopy sediment. This means I will be changing my radiator fluid later in the week.

More shifts
April 19, 2010 by T Love.
Just saw the work schedule for this week. Yeah it kind of sucks for me. My next day off will be Sunday….finally. I have more 11a shifts. I think I’ve worked everyday since April 7th. I’m actually a little worn out. It usually 10 hour days, with many hours of boredom & waiting during the shift. The afternoons are still slow - though I did have 2 somewhat active afternoons - all to have the evening dead. grrr.
I don’t mind 5-6 shifts, but the 11-1st day after day after day…..its long, boring, and draining. No internet at work. I find myself at Borders in the cafe online just trying to occupy my time. Brad is back from Vacation but is only working 2 shifts this week.

Bags Tournement
April 17, 2010 by T Love.
Rob and I entered into a Bags (cornhole toss) tournement for Saturday morning/afternoon. Practice 10a, tournement 11a. The venue was on the beach at Crabby Bills & hosted by Tampa Bay Sports Club. Very well organized event. There were 75 teams with each bracket holding 5 teams. Each bracket played 4 times. Top 3 from each bracket advances to the cash bracket finals while the bottom 2 teams advanced to the bar tab bracket. We went 3-1, advanced to the Cash bracket, had a first round bye, and lost our match (single elimination). We can say we made it to the top 32 but not the sweet 16.
We were holding our own till the unfortunate happened. The opponent and I each had one bag left. My turn to throw. The opponent had 3 bags - each one halfway hanging in the hole. I throw. My toss lands right in front the of the crowed hole essentially setting up a block. The opponenent throws a high arc toss and it sails right through the hole taking all 3 bags with it. All 4 of his bags were sunk.
I only had 4 on the board so they ended up taking 12 points that round bringing thier score up to 18 or 19. The next round, we lost.
Great time and had a blast. Lots of pretty girls there too. lol. It reminded me again why I’m in FL. Rob and I will be entering another tournement on May 1st….maybe.
After the tournement, I went straight to work and worked till 11p. Long but good day.

Alergies are over!
April 16, 2010 by T Love.
For the most part, my allergies are over with. YAY! There may be some residual & lingering effects still. I have been sleeping more sound & continuous, runny, stuffy nose & congestion is nearly gone, I don’t feel like someone beat me up in the morning, and best of all, I can wear contacts again. YAY again.

Work & more work
April 14, 2010 by T Love.
With a co-worker on vacation, I am working long hours and many of them. I was so looking forward to Thursday off and now, poof, its gone. I’ve been working everyday since April 9th. I’ve had 4 or 5 days off since March 19th. I work through Sunday. Many of these shifts have been 11-1st which usually ends up being till 8-9p. Long days, its so slow during the afternoons, and I have to work with idiot (pokey, shaggy, stupid - he goes by many names from what I have heard).

Salsa class
April 13, 2010 by T Love.
Usually I do Salsa class on Thursdays. However, a Salsa friend, Becky, is leaving for Kentucky on Wednesday morning & really really really wanted to go to a class. So the nice guy I am, I picked her up. Becky’s a much better Salsa dancer than I and was checked out of the intro class & danced away in level 1. I did pass the intro class though. Yeah buddy!
We stayed to watch the level 2 class just for a few minutes. However, the class needed another woman & they asked Becky to join. So Becky got a 2-4-1 deal that night! I’m Jealous. lol. Afterwards, we ate some Geordono’s pizza, and I brought her home.
So, my short term goal is to get at least to level 2 class by the time she comes back in about 3 weeks. I can do it! I think. haha.
