New Years Plans

The oil has been changed, tires rotated, currently packing, its 60/55, mostly sunny, and I’m wearing sunglasses……Hit it!

I will be leaving about 1015a for Jacksonville. I will be ringing in the New Year with Tom and his Wife. I will be leaving Jax on Sat about 10a as well. I’m looking forward to the trip. I will have my laptop and webcam with me, however, we will be out somewhere at the stroke of midnight, so no skyping. :(

Stay tuned as I write a review of 2009.

Merry Christmas

I’m wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a safe but happy Holiday Season. Ok, enough with the mushy stuff. :)

Last night, we spent about 1h 40m on a video call - using skype - with some of the family over by the Tuckers. For the longest time, I felt like I was there and didn’t miss a beat. They were all plowed. Dorreen was holding the couch down and poor Jessie couldn’t complete a shot. Speaking of shots, we all did a shot and toasted. I gave Darren a pint of beer, and gave Grandma a hug & Kiss. haha. That Skype video is freaking cool. Darren will be video calling us later today from Lisle.

One of the funnier moments - there were many - but it had to involve the gag I played on Trina. While on video skype with the family, I cell phone called trina and placed her on speaker phone. I said to Trina “Hey, I’m at the Tuckers, when are you going to get here”. Ofcourse Trina didn’t believe me, so I had Grandma Z, Shane, Ashley all talk to Trina. (Remember, Trina is on speaker phone.) Trina wasn’t planning on going to the Tuckers because of Transportation of Kids issues, but when she heard my voice, she was ready to pack up and go! Being that I do have a heart, I couldn’t let her pack up 24 kids and drive to the Tuckers, so I told her “Trina, I’m not at the Tuckers”. Which then she replied “I’m so confused”. She finally did figure it out that I was talking to them via video phone. I wish I had video taped that whole scene from my end. Priceless.

It is Chirstmas Morning and I’m just waiting for Ma & Rob to awaken. A cold front is about 50 miles offshore plowing eastward providing us with some showers and maybe a thunderstorm. Hopefully later today, we will take the boat out into the bay for our 2nd test run. Our first test run about a week ago didn’t do well and we discovered alot of stuff that needed fixin with the engine. Rob did alot of engine work on the boat and we are anxious to see how it performs under a load. It sounds great in the yard. :)

Pumpkin Patch growing

Back on Halloween, my ex Melissa and her daughter Sofia were over. I assisted Sofia in planting pumpkin seeds from the pumpkins we carved only days earlier. About a month ago, we noticed a row of green vegetation. After nearly 2 months, the plants have grown to about 8″ high and look healthy. Unbelievable. I have never tried planting pumpkin seeds and still amazed that it has worked. Time to fertilize those puppies and see if I can get a 8 foot pumpkin out of it. :)

Bar Hoping last night

Started at the “Round-up” which is a country bar. First time there. The “Cowhead Show” was broadcasting live there and I thought I could catch the main event. I made it with only about 45 seconds to spare. The ladies had to dress up using only typical Xmas wrappings such as garlin, bows, tape, etc. Winner gets $500. After the disappointment with ‘Toys for Ta-tas’, this actually turned out good - well at least the contest did. Seeing the cowhead show crew was weird. The other characters that are mentioned like ‘medicine man’…..wow….. It was like watching a bunch of losers all clinging to a radio show that is better to listen to than to see in person.

After the round-up, I headed to Crabby Bills located on Tampa Bay. I stayed for 1 beer and took off. I was freezing my ass off! 25mph wind off the bay with drizzle with temps in the 60’s. Brrr. So I traveled down about 200 yards to my final destination of the night which was Whisky Joe’s. Alot more people, but it still sucked.

That whole evening of Bar Hoping reminded me of how much I really dislike going out to bars by myself. Unless I’m with a friend or gf or just watching a football game, I have no interest in going to a bar.

A little holiday spirit at work

Going above and beyond for my job, again, this time in a Christmas Theme. As usual, my boss and supervisor love it! Today was special. Today, I unveiled for the first time my custom made ”Santa on Slim Fast” shirt. It appears to be a big hit among motorist.

I must add that it’s nice to feel appreciated at work unlike my last job Daytona Beach Airport weather observing under the supervision of Vickisue Gray. That Bitch. For her, doing your job and taking pride in your work was a big no no and you would get written up and ultimately fired.

Toys for Ta-Ta’s

Hosted by “Bubba the Love Sponge” (BTLS) morning show, this morning was the 12th annual (approx) Toys for Ta-Tas drive at the 2001 Space Odessey in Tampa, FL. This was only located 2 buildings down from my work. This was a live broadcast. For you out of towners, 2001 is a full nude strip joint. The premise: Drive your vehicle into a tent filled with about 40 strippers all dressed in xmas gear, give them the gift and in return, you will recieve a lap dance in your vehicle. Sound great, right?

I was pumped up the previous few nights looking forward to Friday morning. I had my custom made shirt on that said “Santa on Slim Fast” along with my Santa hat. I didn’t care about recieving a lap dance or seeing ta-tas as hard as that may seem to be. All I wanted was a picture taken of me with a few girls. That’s it.

What a dissapointment!

100_5378.JPG  I pulled into the tent about 10a, told to turn off the truck, and unlock all the doors. All the doors are opened by the strippers, 3 of them asking me questions. One of them was taking my garlin for my sign along with my inflatable 16″ finger. She asked if she could have them and I said no. I turn back around facing forward and next thing I know, a stripper is on me giving me a lap dance. I turned to my left and said “I don’t want a lap dance, for $20, could I just get a picture with a few of you”. She looks at me confused and puzzled. I don’t think she knew if she had the authority to grant me that. So what does the stripper do? She starts making out with another stripper who is flashing me her tits. They both look at me and say “So, you gonna take the picture”? I said ”no, I don’t want a picture of you…I want one with you”. At that time, one of the crew says “Gotta go, your done”. As I begin my roll out of there, the strippers say, hey, what about the $20. I said “No, what about my picture”. While I’m responding, the crew is still telling me to exit - which I was already doing.

That last paragraph all happened in less than 90 seconds.

It was such a rush job, the strippers - as usual - treated me like an idiot and piece of shit, and everything was a huge rush. I didn’t get to see any of the BTLS crew and the strippers wanted the present & money asap. About 30 of my 90 seconds was spent watching the strippers rummage through my truck like vulchers making sure they were taking anything other than the toy. So why did they rush me? Because the show runs from 6a-10a and it was already past 10a. I heard one of the crew say let hurry this up and get out of here. There were only about 8 cars left behind me. So they ran over. Big deal. It was for a good cause but that last dozen or so vehicles really got screwed timewise.

It was so un-enjoyable. Such a disappointment. Horrible Horrible experience. I never want to go into another strip club again. Worse of all, they stole my finger. I had to walk back there and ask for it back. The finger costs $5 and that’s about 40 minutes of work. I work hard for my little money. As for BTLS, I really like the show and I’ll continue to listen, but as far as events they host and whatnot, forget it. The 35 minutes I waited in line, the gas I burned….what a waste. If I’d known that’s what was going to happen, I would walked up, gave the toy, and walked back to work. Totally not worth it.

Other than I donated a toy and received some bubba army window stickers & free site pass, I cannot say anything positive or good about that event this morning. I cannot recommend this to anyone and I definitely would not go back again.

Got stood up

Thought I had secured a date for last night, but I never received the phone call. Even after asking for my number, even after telling me twice that she would call me….at the end of the day…I got stood up. Women suck.
