Happy Thanksgiving

A very good Thanksgiving indeed! Mostly sunny, 70’s, shorts, playin bags, and a few cold pints of Shock Top on Draft. While watching football all day, Rob Deep fried a 20lb turkey and Ma made a few side dishes. Though we did some house cleaning earlier in the morning, it was nice just to sit back and enjoy the day.

I have a video of us saying Happy Thanksgiving, however, it’s 31mb! It was only supposed us saying ‘happy Thanksgiving’ but ma decided to talk and talk and talk. She didn’t stick to the plan. lol. So here’s just a picture for now. More pics and video uploaded soon.

Going above and beyond

Going above and beyond for my job with adding a festival touch. My boss and supervisor love it! It’s nice to feel appreciated for at work unlike my last job Daytona Beach Airport weather observing under the supervision of Vickisue Gray. Bitch. For her, doing your job and taking pride in your work was a big no no and you would get written up.

The finger pictured was my idea and implementation. Now, all sign holders possess one and are able to give all drivers the ‘finger’! lol.

Women and Relationships

Yeah, I don’t understand either one and understand so little. :)

I was going to write a novel about how wrong I am and how little I know, but I won’t bash myself that bad, and save this writing for a later time.

Its Electric

Also, Rob and I finished up the major electrical work in the back apt. We installed and upgraded the subpanel in the apt, added 2 outlets, and ran a 220 line for the stove. We completed all that in as little as 11 1/2 hours. lol. Today, we will be mainly painting and should be really close to finishing up back there. Yay.

Fall weather

Great fall weather has been in place for about 4 days so far. Its beautiful. Infact, last Wednesday working outside, it was cold enough with the wind that I had a stocking cap and gloves on. Brrrr. Alot of stratocu that day. Nights are quite cool with temps in the lower 50’s. Last night, we had another bon fire.

General update

Used most of my free time last week catching up on alot of paperwork, phone calls, and emails. Still not caught up, but got alot accomplished. This past weekend (Sat-Mon), I spent all my time working on the back apt. Rob and I will do electrical Saturday and hopefully Sunday, we will finish up.

Rob and I are still trying to go fishing, but its just not happening. Its either too windy, we are working on something, or I was away by Melissa’s. Melissa’s out of the picture, so that does increase our chances, but I won’t hold my breath.

I really haven’t updated the website lately. I’m having a hard enough time updating the blog. However, I hope to stay on track a little better….yeah right.

I’m still debating on whether or not a Dec trip to Chicago is worth it. I may wait till Feb or March.

I lost my 2nd appeal for unemployment. I was close on getting it overturned though.

And Rob just killed a spider whose body is the size of a quarter.

Live from the update desk….Its marty saying good night and good news.

FAA update

I passed the ATSAT test. I recieved a 93.2 (May 2007, 93.1). I’m relieved! My time will be mainly focusing on the necessary preparation, reading, and studying of the 7110.65 & airplanes.

Another one bites the dust

I’m single…again. I broke it off with Melissa. I was actually planning to drive to her place tonight to do the breakup face to face, but it just didn’t work out that way. We broke up over the phone, which is cheezy & cheap, but oh well. I’m a little sad, ofcourse, as would be expected as I’m sure she is as well. We had some really good times - when we were together, but it was the re-occuring predictable weekly extreme lows of our relationship that did it for me - mainly the arguments. I never felt I could please her enough and felt like I was always falling up short. This was definatley a learning experience. In the end, I felt I did everything I reasonably could to make this relationship work, not only for the short term but also for the long term, but it seemed like I was never good enough. My instant family - poof - gone. haha. It is what it is.
