Fun weeked in Orlando area

This past weekend, I was up in the Orlando area visiting with the gf. It was another busy weekend out there. Friday we worked out at LA Fitness. Saturday we got Sophia’s (Melissa’s Daughter) soccer uniform from the park district. Man, those lines were long. Then we looked at a condo for Melissa, visited Downtown Disney, and then had dinner reservations to see Arabian Nights.

Downtown Disney
First time I was ever there. We were there killing some time before Arabian Nights. After a little time at the T-Rex, we found ourselves at Lego World. Yes thats right, lego world. What started off with only Sophia playing with lego’s soon became all 3 of us. We were all indulged into building our own cars to race down the ramp. Way fun. Melissa and Sophia were completed way before I was so they raced a few times. Finally I got my done and tested it out. It didn’t move! lol. It was too heavy to move. The wheels weren’t the greatest. After a major overhaul and redesign, I got mine up and running. I was able to get a private race of just our 3 cars. Soon after the checkered flag, I took the lead. Yep, I won. :) If we had a race prior to my redesign, I would have definatley had lost. Such a cool design but too heavy.

Arabian Nights
We almost didn’t make it. We were informed to be there by 830p and we thought our 815p arrival would have been sufficient. Nope. The lone was really long. In-fact, we waited in line for nearly an hour to purchase tickets. It turns out that Melissa’s friend found out later that evening that it recommended for people to arrive by like 7 or 730 because of the long lines. To make matters worse, Melissa’s friend called Melissa’s cell phone over 22 times while we were in Downtown Disney to tell us to get over there. However, Melissa left her phone in the car. Well, to wrap this part of the story up…we were about 8 minutes late into the show, but we made it in.

Food was pretty good. I had the sirloin steak, Melissa had the chicken I believe, and Sophia had the kids meal of Chicken Tenders. Rolls came with it along with soft drink. We ordered beer, of-course. Desert was ice-cream. Yum. Overall, it was good. Keep in mind, Melissa had a teachers discount which was a huge savings. What normally would have cost $150 for all 3 of us turned out to be only about $43. The show was good for $43 but I could not recommend it for $150. :)

Sunday, I made Grandma Eisses’s recipe for Baked Mostochilli. yummmm. Dam, that was good. No complaints from the ladies on that one. :) I have some pictures from this weekend that I’ll post soon.
