Time flies!

Geez, time has been flying by lately. I feel like I’ve been running around like a chicken with its head cut off! haha. So much going on, so little time, alot of it being spur of the moment and/or last minute decisions. It has been quite a juggling act.

Congratulations to my mother and Rob on their first house! After 4 weeks of hassles and drama, they finally signed on Friday. Today, Saturday, I helped them with phase one of the move. Sunday morning phase 2 is implemented. That involves moving me out of my ex’s apt. Phase 3 will be Sunday afternoon which involves moving the rest of the big stuff and other stuff out of Ma & Rob’s apt.

We were hoping to have the entire house painted before moving in. But that plan got shot down when they couldn’t sign before Friday. So, we are going to try and paint at least the bedrooms as quickly as possible. The rest will happen when it happens.

I’ve been quite exhausted lately. After Sunday, I can breath a sigh of relief and my schedule won’t be as hectic with all this moving and stuff. Yay. Moving during the summer with dewpoints around 74 degrees sucks…even at night. I know there is other stuff to write, but I’ll have to save that for another time. Till next time.

Def Leppard Concert Rocked!

What a concert! That was one of the best concerts I’ve been to. Cheap Trick, Poison, and Def Leppard were playing at the Ford Amphitheater on Friday, Aug 14, 7p. It was definitely sold out. Lawn seat folks were standing shoulder to shoulder. Just a sea of people. Freaking awesome!

I met that very special someone near the south entrance. We drove in, parked, and did some tailgating. Melissa was a little tardy, so we ended up missing Cheap Trick and most of Poison. We didn’t care too much about that since we were there to see the main event.

The weather forecast for the evening appeared to be partly cloudy and dry. But as luck would have it, just as we were packing up the truck to head in for the concert, the only shower in the county happened to be over us. It poured buckets. The small umbrella I had offered very little protection for us on our way to the trolley stop. Our heads were dry but the rest of our body’s were soaked.

Once inside, we grabbed some beers and found our seats. Yes that’s right, seats. Live nation has Wed specials for tickets. Half price baby! Our seats were dry and protected from the elements unlike the lawn seats which were exposed to that downpoar. Def Leppard played all of the popular hits. There was only one song that I didn’t recognize. We rocked out baby!

After fighting our way through the crowds to exit the stadium, anyone who parked on the south side had to wait in one long ass line to get onto the revolving 3 trolleys bringing people to their cars. They would not let you walk to your car for safety reasons I assume. It was pitch dark on the south side grass lots. Well, we didn’t know what the line was for and kind of cut in front of everyone at the gate. lol.

Great times! Awesome Concert. The pictures I do have, for the most part, are horrible. However, I have video of a few songs. Sometime soon, I will post them.

I’m getting married!

No, not really, but I did save a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to geico! (play music “Sometimes I feel like, somebody’s watching me”). Gotch ya.

Alot has happened since my last posting but I will only touch upon a couple of topics. The top 2 things have been: I’m working a little and I have met someone. Lets start off with employment. I’ve picked up a little side job. Its not much but its better than nothing. Still looking for real employment. Ok, enough of that boring snoozing stuff….lets move onto the juicy news.

I have met a young woman. We’ve gone out a few times. She is fantastic and amazing to say the least. She is always - well almost always :) - on my mind. lol. This past Sunday the amazing & fantastic girl and I spent the afternoon Kayaking in Fort DeSoto State Park. Right after we launched, we saw Manatees next to the boat. Great trip and great afternoon/evening. We have tickets for this Friday evenings Def Leppard, poison, and Cheap Trick concert. I’m excited.
