Space Shuttle Endeavor: Last Night Launch!

The night Space Shuttle Launch of Endeavour was spectacular from Daytona Beach, FL, approximately 60 miles north of Cape Canaveral. Cameras and Camcorders just don’t capture what the naked eye can. The high 32,000ft cirrus clouds really enhanced the scene. After liftoff, the shuttle moves NE from Cape Canaveral arching towards Daytona Lattitude. Then it moves Eastward. I have video as well which will be posted at a later date.

Last Space Shuttle Launch tonight

7:55pm is the schedule launch of space shuttle endeavour. This will be the last night launch! The batteries are charged, the camcorder and camera are ready & standing by. Weather appears good here and at least one emergency site. I am hoping for a cumulus or two along my southern horizon as they really enhance the shuttle’s glow.

Record high warmth, tired, & Bubba in town

First off, it is a pleasure to say that DAB is near record high warmth! Only a few weeks ago, it was record cold.

Bubba from D.C. dropped down and paid the Daytona & Tampa areas a visit. Bubba crashed by me Thursday and Friday night. Then Kathy & I met Bubba and Rob in Clearwater for lunch off of the courtney cambel causway (rt 60). We drove on the beach (since its free this time of year) and grilled up some burgers and dogs. After Rob left, we continued to eat and soak up the sun. Kathy chased the birds several times. It was quite amusing.

This past weekend (Sun-Wed) I was in Clearwater visiting the gf to celebrate her 24th B-Day. Isn’t she old! Man, I remember when I was that young…. Anyways, I took her out to Columbia Restaurant, a spanish restaurant, overlooking the intercoastal waterway. The food was excellent! After dinner, we met a few friends at a local beach bar for drinks.

I was exhausted that entire weekend by Kathy’s. She wore me out. hehe.
