Girlfriend dumps me after nearly 2 years

After giving me another chance for 5 weeks, Kathy dumped me Thanksgiving night. I’m crushed, blah, and so fucking hurt on an unimaginable level. Though that 2nd chance of mine was doomed before it even started. I’ve had a few days to analyze things. I realize now that I really have no purpose or direction in life. What motivated me, what got me through the day - the week - the months, what gave me guidance and a future…..dumped me.

Kathy was my first true love. I thought she was the one for me and she thought the same. This was my first significant relationship and was a huge ass learning curve.  I thought I was making the best decisions for us with the information and environment that was presented to me each time. I never meant to hurt her and thought we would grow old together.  And yet, I feel I was used, dragged along, and decieved for so long.

Though I got some closure, I have more questions than answers. The answers I recieved just don’t jive but I think I know what was happening behind the scenes. What I just can’t understand is that if I was the one for her and if she was in love with me and she really cared about me, us, and our relationship….why on earth didn’t she just say something. Am I that frightning? (maybe sometimes with morning breath! lol)

Anyways…not sure how I will be emotionally. As much as I would like to forget and move on….thats much easier said than done. I think she will be moving on much sooner than I.

Space Shuttle Endeavor: Last Night Launch!

The night Space Shuttle Launch of Endeavour was spectacular from Daytona Beach, FL, approximately 60 miles north of Cape Canaveral. Cameras and Camcorders just don’t capture what the naked eye can. The high 32,000ft cirrus clouds really enhanced the scene. After liftoff, the shuttle moves NE from Cape Canaveral arching towards Daytona Lattitude. Then it moves Eastward. I have video as well which will be posted at a later date.

Last Space Shuttle Launch tonight

7:55pm is the schedule launch of space shuttle endeavour. This will be the last night launch! The batteries are charged, the camcorder and camera are ready & standing by. Weather appears good here and at least one emergency site. I am hoping for a cumulus or two along my southern horizon as they really enhance the shuttle’s glow.

Record high warmth, tired, & Bubba in town

First off, it is a pleasure to say that DAB is near record high warmth! Only a few weeks ago, it was record cold.

Bubba from D.C. dropped down and paid the Daytona & Tampa areas a visit. Bubba crashed by me Thursday and Friday night. Then Kathy & I met Bubba and Rob in Clearwater for lunch off of the courtney cambel causway (rt 60). We drove on the beach (since its free this time of year) and grilled up some burgers and dogs. After Rob left, we continued to eat and soak up the sun. Kathy chased the birds several times. It was quite amusing.

This past weekend (Sun-Wed) I was in Clearwater visiting the gf to celebrate her 24th B-Day. Isn’t she old! Man, I remember when I was that young…. Anyways, I took her out to Columbia Restaurant, a spanish restaurant, overlooking the intercoastal waterway. The food was excellent! After dinner, we met a few friends at a local beach bar for drinks.

I was exhausted that entire weekend by Kathy’s. She wore me out. hehe.

Another Tampa Visit

Sunday, Nov 9 will mark my 5th visit to the Tampa area in 5 weeks! Thank - insert who or whatever - that gas prices are down and still falling! Today is my wonderful, beautiful, tall, sexy, and intelligent girlfriends Birthday. And yes, I had to say all those things because she does read this blog! lol. Also it is my father B-day as well. Imagine that. Anyways, I will be leaving Daytona for Tampa around 830a. I have made reservations at a resteraurant in Clearwater Beach on the intercoastal. Drinks will follow afterwards….of course.

However, before the birthday stuff with Kathy begins, I will be meeting up with Rob again to watch Da Bears at Beef O’Brady’s - a local sports Bar. About 3/4 of the customers at BOB’s are Bears fans. We plug in our laptops and log onto the internet to keep track of our fantasy leagues. Good times.

Not much happening with me at the apt and yet, somehow, time has been flying by these past few weeks. My list of projects and/or things to do is growing. I think next weekend I’ll finally catch up.
