Lots of new material back on the website

  • New section “Visits & Vacations” is partly up. Never before seen pictures which include Halloween 2007 in Key West along with a weekend getaway in Keywest.
  • Family Parties section is back up.
  • Naperville, IL pictures available
  • Northern Illinois University Pictures are up, inlcuding never before scene ones.
  • OLED TV’s have hit the market

I’ve mentioned OLED a year or two ago. Its uses could range from being used on interior walls (no more painting), motion advertisement stiched into clothing, and televisions. TV’s incorporated into a glass table that can be resized in an instance to TV’s as thick as a few credit cards.

    Cubs VS Tampa Bay Rays

Going to the cubs game with Ma, Rob, their neighbor, Kathy and her uncle. Hopefully our presence will snap that 2 game FL streak.

I like free food and I cannot lie

My apartment complex had a resident party this afternoon which included free food. You bet I was there! 2 hot dogs, a burger, and some beans. mmmm.

    Expired milk?

The expiration on the milk container reads “6-14-08″. I thought it was still ok to use, so I poured it over some cereal. After the first bite, I thought it tasted funny but I kept eating. After about 5 scoops, I peered into the milk and noticed small white balls. (no I’m not racist). I then examined the milk from the container by pouring slowing in the sink. It was the same. The milk had gone bad.

I have a feeling I will be ill later today. To help combat the future that has yet to arrive in the present, I have taken some cold medicine.

    Back from Orlando

After working the midnight shift and getting off at 6am in West Palm, I drove straight to Orlando to meet up with some relatives. Tuesday morning we spent the morning and afternoon at Universal Studio’s. Lots of good rides and good times. The late afternoon brought about 40 minutes of rain. While waiting for the rain to lighten up, we enjoyed some ice cream and then departed the park. That day, I managed to stay away for 31 hours (4pm Monday - 11pm Tuesday).

Wednesday, we were next door at Universal Adverture island park. Once again, good times. Weather was mostly cloudy with a Broken layer around 12-15 thousand. One of my highlights was getting people wet. Towards the end of one of the water rides after splashing down the waterfall, people in their canoe would approach a U shaped turn. As they recoupe after the fall and looking to see how wet they are, they move through the turn - not noticing water canons next to the canoe.  While this is happening, there are people on the bridge who put a quarter into a numbered water cannon (1-9) and wait. Just as the canoe approaches the appropriate cannon, we press the button and soak them again! It was awesome. I have about 7 videos of it. What great entertainment for only a quarter. I could sit there all day.

Wednesday evening, Ron and I drove to Daytona to visit the new dog track. We enjoyed a few beers bet a few trifectas. We didn’t do too well. I made out $20 bucks ahead and we missed a jackpot of $560. Ron had a convincing and very reasonable argument to change one of the dog picks for the trifecta. I agreed and made the change. It ended up being the wrong change. Oh well. Ron could have easily been right though. Good night though.

Thursday, we all were in Daytona driving on the beach. We booggie boarded and played bags. For the first time in 3 years, I’ve seen another set of bags on the beach or in Daytona for that matter. After the beach, we had dinner at the Olive Garden in Daytona and then hauled ass back to Orlando. I had to leave Orlando by 7 to be at work at 10p in West palm. I think I left Orlando at 745p.
