Have you ever had your leg fall asleep and upon using it or realizing what happened you feel that tingling and numbness sensation for a few minutes? Well, I do and its been lasting for 9 days now. I visited the local clinic Monday for a diagnosis. The doctor drew some blood and put me threw a few exercise tests. The doctor isn’t saying it is, but he did mention that it could be neurological. We are awaiting the results of the blood tests and then, if necessary, map out a course of additional action.

Last Sunday evening while sitting uncomfortably on a stool with very little padding playing poker, my whole body went tingly and numb - just like a leg falling asleep. It subsided after a minute or so. However, thereafter for the next several days, the feet and partial legs still had that feeling. About 5 days later, only the right leg and foot had it. Today, 9 days later, my whole right side has it. The tingling/numbness is very mild, but its still noticeable.

The doctor and I are trying to accomplish all we can within the next 25 days before my insurance runs out.  Stay tuned.

Wednesday morning I had the sniffles and took sickleave for the day. Was lightheaded for much of the day. Well, I ended up taking sick leave for Thurs and Fri as well. This gives/gave me a chance to rest up and and see a few doctors which included the dentist for a few things. When I report back to work Monday, I believe I will have the decision handed down to me.

Still awaiting the outcome of the training review team meeting from last Wednesday. Either my training hours will get extended or I will be terminated. Therefore, I have been looking at other forms of employment within and outside of the FAA as a precautionary alternative. I have some encouraging prospects but I don’t want to say anything more.

I will say that Wednesday was probably my worst day down here in West Palm. Other than Kevin’s visit (which was a great time!), the days and weeks previous were sad and depressing. From thursday onward till today have been some of the best I have felt in a really long time in so many ways. Much of this was due to the prospects of a potential new job.
