Here come’s lucky

WTF. We lost. When I say we, I mean Kathy, Kevin, and I. The plan was simple. All we were supposed to do is hit the dog track to win the 8th race trifecta. By winning, we would recieve a free ticket for the 10th race supertrifecta which was a force payout. Well, we didn’t win the trifecta in the 8th race. So that was $42 gone (16 a piece). Errr.

But instead of going home, we bet on a few more races. The last race, Kevin and I picked out four dogs. We were only going to do a 4 dog quinella. However, it was decided to bump that up to a 4 dog trifecta. It turns out, we lost the trifecta but would have - if we played - won the quinella. In the end, $51 was up in smoke. What was supposed to be a $16 loss or a potential $30 gain turned into a huge ass loss. We suck at betting. I think we need to practice online for free before we hit the dog track again.

As depressing as this sounds, it was actually a great, fun time and Kathy ate Ice cream. She was in heaven.

Another poker win

Kevin and I hit up the Daytona Beach Yacht Club on SR40 for VEI poker night. $2 drafts were good and I won the 2nd game. So far thats 3 wins total. Yay. During the first game, Kevin was out in less than 5 minutes or 2 hands….it was one of those. Good times.

T Love wins poker tournament

Thats right, I won the first and third games! Volusia Entertainment (VEI) hosts Texas Holdem at Froggers on Sundays. I have only played about 4 sundays with this group and finally, it was my time to shine. My first win secures my seat in VEI tournament in October. This tournament will be composed of all the winners from July-October. Each additional win will give me 500 chips. By the way, you are given 10,000 chips to begin the tournament.

7th Street - YBOR

7th Street seems to be a pretty decent strip of activity in Tampa. My advice is…Don’t go 1 block off the strip. The neighborhood is not good at all. We did hit up a few bars. I believe they were Coyote Ugly, and Irish pub, Adobe Gilas, and some other bar.

We did meet two people, originally from the Chicago area, at Adobe Gilas. It was later discovered that they were the couple sitting behind us while at the Irish pub. Speaking of Irish pub, the 2 bartenders had some massive racks. We figured one of them to be real but the asian chick, dam, those were big - for an asian. We couldn’t stop looking.  Well, we got in around 3a, slept till about 11a, went to Clearwater Beach, and grilled up some chicken. Made it home around midnight.

Tampa Bay, Tampa Bay here we come

My 3rd visit to Ma and Rob’s crib in 8 days. Kathy and I took advantage of our Thurs and Friday off to enjoy the nightlife and bum a night by Ma and Rob’s in Tampa. On our journey down I-4, we stopped at the Kohls on the Northside of town, ate at Checkers, sat in bumper to bumper traffic moving at 3mph for 11 miles, and got to our intermediate destination at the premium outlet on the southside of Orlando. Traffic, for some reason, was pretty bad for 1pm hour.

We arrived in Tampa around 545p. Ma, Rob, Kathy, and I will be heading to the Coquina Blue restaurant for dinner. Then Kathy and I will be heating up the night in Downtown Tampa. We will be exploring the nightlife!
